At least 60% of profits go to organisations working to improve our world, the rest to expand the business. No profits are given to shareholders or investors.

What Working for Spaice Means


Spaice puts people and Nature first, and that begins with our own people.

Everyone is treated fairly with some simple rules:


  • No one will receive less than a living wage and that includes any contractors that we directly engage.
  • Responsibility and promotion is earned through demonstrated ability, not length of service or office politics.
  • Salaries are based on merit (i.e. the work being done, not secret negotiations or favouritism) so everyone knows what competencies they need to achieve to earn more.

  • There are no bonuses, commissions, or other such incentives because they encourage bias and conflict.
  • The highest salary will never be more than ten times that of the lowest paid employee.
  • All senior management salaries and employee pay scales will be published to keep things open and fair.
  • We will thank people for staying with us with extra holiday – two extra days for every full year of service on top of the standard 28 days everyone gets (based on a 40 hour working week).
  • Our standard working week is 24 hours (3 days) so people can work less and live more; they can, but don't have to, add extra hours for a 40 hour (5 day) week.
