Our ratings are provided by Ethical Consumer, the world's most experienced and trusted ethical evaluation specialists.
Over the past 36 years they’ve developed the world's most sophisticated ethical rating system to give us the information we need, based on detailed research of over 40,000 companies, brands and products.
The research is based on a wide range of primary and secondary sources, and they always request information directly from the companies they rate.
They also incorporate published research from campaign groups such as Oxfam, Friends of the Earth, and War on Want, as well as news sources, public records, and directories.
